For immediate releasePacific Sintered Metals acquired P/M Krupp Technologies, Inc.9/6/2000, Pacific Sintered Metals, Los Angeles, CA, signed a definitive contract to acquire P/M Krupp Technology, Inc. of Chelsea, MI on 8/31/2000. P/M Krupp has been a leader in the development of fully dense net shaped powdered metal tool steels, high speed steels, stainless steels, and metal injection molding (MIM) materials. P/M Krupp's proprietary F2 process has been the key to the high density and superior mechanical properties of Krupp parts. The P/M Krupp acquisition augments PSM's current line of fully dense tool and high speed steel lines. PSM's tool/high speed steel offerings now include A7, D2, M2, M4, M35, M42, T15, and T42. Together with the recent Superwear acquisition and the successful start up of its metal injection molding (MIM) operation PolyAlloys, PSM now becomes the world leader in tool and wear resistant P/M applications.
